MyLadysmith.com took a tour of the newly Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) acquired Bute Island, a 2.2-acre island in Ladysmith Harbour in August. It’s nice to remember the summer is on its way! : )
Visitors can explore Bute Island nature and enjoy panoramic views of Ladysmith. The interior of the island provides a rustic, low impact natural trail walk with access to small pocket bays along the foreshore that can be explored during low tide.
The park is intended for day use and will accommodate kayaks, canoes and smaller vessels at a public dock.
